Publication Ethics
Articles published in the Jurnal Jeumpa are articles that have never been published in other journal publishers. This scientific code of ethics statement is a statement from all parties involved in the journal publication process, including managers, editors, review partners and authors. This scientific publication code of ethics statement is based on the Regulation of the Head of LIPI Number 5 of 2014 concerning the Code of Ethics for Scientific Publications. Scientific publication ethics upholds three ethical values in publications:
1. Neutrality, free from conflict of interest in managing publications;
2. Justice, giving authorship rights to those entitled to be authors/writers; and
3. Honesty, free from duplication, fabrication, falsification and plagiarism in publications.
In order to avoid plagiarism, every submitted manuscript will be checked further with a plagiarism checker application.
Journal Manager Responsibilities
1. Determine the name of the journal, scientific scope, periodicity and apply for accreditation if necessary.
2. Determine the membership of the editorial board.
3. Defines the relationship between publishers, editors, publishers and other parties in a contract.
4. Respect matters of a confidential nature, both for contributing researchers, authors, editors and publisher partners.
5. Implement norms and provisions regarding intellectual property rights, especially copyright.
6. Review journal policies and convey them to the authors, editorial board, review partners and readers.
7. Create rules and ethical behavior guidelines for editors and bestari partners.
8. Publish journals regularly.
9. Ensure the availability of funding sources for the sustainability of journal publication.
10. Building a collaborative network of research institutions and related agencies.
11. Prepare permits and other legal aspects.
Editorial Responsibilities
1. Meeting the needs of readers and writers.
2. Striving to continuously improve the quality of publications.
3. Implementing a process to guarantee the quality of published written work.
4. Prioritizing freedom of opinion objectively.
5. Maintaining the integrity of the author's academic track record.
6. Delivering corrections, clarifications and apologies when necessary.
7. Responsible for the style and format of writing scientific papers, as well as the content and All statements in written work are the responsibility of the author.
8. Actively solicit the opinions of authors, readers, bestari partners and members of the editorial board to improve the quality of publications.
9. Conduct regular internal evaluations of the quality of scientific journals.
10. Support the author's initiative regarding publication ethics by including a clearance form in each manuscript submission.
11. Be open-minded to opinions. new ideas or other people's views that may conflict with personal opinions for the advancement of science. Avoiding objective decisions by not defending one's own opinion, the author's or a third party's by looking for a solution that can be scientifically justified.
12. Encouraging authors to make improvements to their written work until it is worthy of publication.
Bestari Partner Responsibilities
1. Review written work and submit the results of the study to the editor, as material for determining the suitability of a written work for publication.
2. The reviewer does not carry out a scientific review of written work involving him, either directly or indirectly.
3. Providing positive suggestions, input and recommendations on scientific paper manuscripts.
4. Maintain the author's privacy by not disseminating the results of corrections, suggestions and recommendations on a manuscript.
5. Encourage writers to improve their written work.
6. Review written work that has been corrected according to predetermined standards.
7. Written works are reviewed in a timely manner according to the style of the publication environment based on scientific principles (data collection methods, legality of authors, conclusions, etc.) that have been determined.
Author's Responsibilities
1. Ensure that those included in the list of authors have met the criteria as authors.
2. Collectively responsible for the work and content of the article including methods, analysis, calculations and details.
3. State the origin of resources (including funding), either directly or indirectly.
4. Explain the limitations in the research.
5. Respond to comments made by bestari partners and the editorial board in a professional, scientific and timely manner.
6. Inform the editor in writing if you will withdraw your written work.
7. Make a statement that the written work submitted for publication is original, and has never been published anywhere and in any language, and is not in the process of being submitted to another publisher.
