Abstract

Population growth and the development of the food industry, the need for mung bean is increasing, therefore mung bean is a very prospective commodity to be developed. To increase the production of green beans, the availability of nutrients as the main support for plant growth in the growing media needs to be considered. The availability of nutrients in the soil is getting less and less due to the frequent use of plants that live on the soil. To overcome the lack of nutrients, organic fertilizers can be added by utilizing tofu liquid waste and local microorganisms (MOL) from bamboo shoots. The purpose of this study was to determine the effect of tofu liquid waste and bamboo shoots MOL on the production of mung bean (Phaseolus radiatus L.) and the interaction between the two. This study used a factorial randomized block design (RAK), which consisted of two factors, namely: Tofu Liquid Waste Factor (L) consisting of 4 levels, namely: L0 = 0 ml / liter of water, L1 = 50 ml / liter, L2 = 100 ml/lt water, L3 = 150 ml/lt water, Bamboo Shoots MOL Factor (M) consists of 4 levels, namely: M0 = 0 ml/lt water, M1 = 7.5 ml/lt water, M2 = 15 ml/lt water, M3 = 22.5 ml/lt water. The results showed that the tofu liquid waste had a significant effect on plant height (45 DAP and 60 DAP), stem diameter (30 DAP and 45 DAP), number of pods/plant, weight of 100 dry seeds and seed weight/plot. The application of MOL for bamboo shoots had a significant effect on plant height (45 DAP and 60 DAP), stem diameter (30 DAP and 45 DAP), number of pods/plant, weight of 100 dry seeds and seed weight/plot. The interaction between tofu liquid waste and the MOL of bamboo shoots had a significant effect on the number of pods/plants, while the other parameters had no significant effect.
