Abstract

The golden snail (Pomaceae canaliculata Lamarck) is one of the main pests of rice plants in Indonesia. Control of golden snails can be done in various ways such as mechanical, biological, and chemical, but most farmers still control chemically which can cause side effects such as resistance to pests and environmental pollution. The purpose of this study was to determine the potential of several types of plants to the time of death and mortality of golden snail pests based on the incubation time of the extract. The design of this study used a factorial randomized block design (RAK) which consisted of two factors, consisting of 2 observation parameters, namely the time of death of the golden snail and the mortality of the golden snail. The results showed that the interaction between the type and incubation time of the vegetable molluscicide extract significantly affected the time of death of the golden snail pest, the best treatment was found in the application of neem leaf extract with no incubation (control).
