Abstract

This study aims to determine the potential yield of growth and production of several local upland rice cultivars in East Aceh. This research was conducted in Blang Tualang Village, East Aceh Regency with an altitude of ± 50 m above sea level. This study used a randomized block design (RBD) with a non-factorial pattern with the treatments tested were several Acehnese local upland rice cultivars (V) consisting of 13 treatment levels, namely: V1 = coarse makeup, V2 = fine makeup, V 3 = Sebeso, V4 = Ramos Gunung, V5 = Si Dol, V6 = Pulut Oil, V7 = Crooked, V8 = Nails Balam, V9 = Exclamation, V10 = Si Raden, V11 = Pulut Mayang U, V12 = Yellow Makeup, V13 = Limit Range. To describe the growth of local upland rice in Aceh, observations were made on plant height, panicle length, flowering age, plant age, number of grain per panicle, number of filled grains per panicle, weight of grain filled per panicle, weight of 1,000 grains, potential yield per harvest plot. Various local upland rice cultivars in Aceh had a very significant effect on the number of grain per panicle, the number of grain contained per panicle, the weight of grain contained per panicle and the yield potential per plot, had a significant effect on plant height at 63 DAS, panicle length and weight of 1000 grains and had no effect significant on plant height at 21 and 42 DAS, flowering age and harvest age. The best observation results were obtained in treatment V7 (Crooked Cultivar). In accordance with the results of this study, to obtain good growth and production of rice plants, it is recommended to use the Bengkok cultivar.
