Abstract
This research is upland rice population F3 crosses between aceh local cultivar scapable of producing plants with high production. Then it was found that the high heritability of the F3 population was the result of a cross between sileso (parents with high yields of drought resistance) X ciherang (mature old parents). The study was conducted at the Experimental Garden of the Faculty of Agriculture, Samudra University, Langsa City, Aceh Province, which took place from August to December 2020. The study used a non-factorial randomized block design with 3 replications. The factor that was observed was the diversity of F3 from 15 families resulting from crossing the Ciherang variety with 5 local cultivars of Sileso. Parameters observed included plant height (cm), number of tillers (stem), number of productive tillers (stem), panicle length (cm), number of grains/panicle, ratio of filled grain to empty grain (%), weight of grain per cluster.
