Abstract

This research examines the implementation of UNESCO's 'Learning to Be' pillar in developing exemplary character in elementary school students. Using a literature review method, the study identifies three main indicators of successful implementation: development of self-awareness and individual potential, social and emotional skills, and ethical and moral values. The findings suggest that effective implementation requires a holistic approach involving various programs and activities, such as project-based learning, integration of social-emotional learning, and character education programs. Key success factors include consistency and sustainability of programs, active involvement of the entire school community including parents, and continuous evaluation and improvement. Successful implementation will produce a generation that is not only academically intelligent but also possesses high emotional intelligence, social awareness, and moral integrity. The study concludes that focusing on the 'Learning to Be' pillar is crucial in preparing students to face future challenges and contribute positively to society
