Abstract

The purpose of this study was to describe the improvement of student learning outcomes in integrated thematic learning using the Contextual Teaching and Learning (CTL) model in class V SD Negeri 02 Koto Tuo, Harau District, Lima Puluh Kota Regency. This type of research is Classroom Action Research (PTK) using qualitative and quantitative approaches. The research subjects were teachers and 28 grade V students of SD Negeri 02 Koto Tuo, Harau District. The use of the Contextual Teaching and Learning model can improve student learning outcomes in integrated thematic learning, this can be seen from the assessment of RPP aspects in cycle I is 88.89% increasing in cycle II to 94.44%. The implementation of learning in the aspect of the teacher in cycle I, namely 79.69%, increased to 95% in the second cycle and from the student aspect of the first cycle, namely 76.58%, increased to 95% in the second cycle, while the average student learning outcomes in the aspect of knowledge in the eye Indonesian language lessons in cycle I obtained a score of 75.71 in the good category increased in the second cycle to 84.29 in the good category, in the first cycle of PPKn subjects, the score was 77.14 in the good category and increased in the second cycle to 88.57 in the very good category, at In the social studies subject, the score in the first cycle was 81.43 in the good category and increased in the second cycle to 92.86 in the very good category. Whereas in the aspect of skills in Indonesian subjects, the score in the first cycle was 75.45 with a sufficiently increased category in the second cycle to 86.16 with the very good category, in the PPKn subject the score in the first cycle was 77.08 in the good category and increased in the second cycle it was categorized as good 85.11, and in the social studies subject the score in the first cycle was 76.19 in the good category and increased in the second cycle to be 86 in the very good category.
