Efektivitas Model Explicit Instruction Dalam Meningkatkan Keterampilan Vokasional Membuat Keripik Bayam Bagi Anak Tunarungu
This study discusses the vocational skills of making spinach chips in class X deaf children at SLB Yapem Tarusan. This research is an experimental research. This study aims to prove the effectiveness of the explicit instruction model in improving the skills of making spinach chips for deaf children of class X at SLB Yapem Tarusan. This study has an experimental research method with a pre-experimental form that uses a type of one group pretest-postest design. This study used an action test by looking at the results of the child's initial ability to make spinach chips (pretest), after that, giving treatment using an explicit instruction (treatment) model, then looking at the effect of the child's ability after being given treatment (posttest). The data results were seen from the comparison between the pretest and posttest with the Wilcoxon Rank Test statistical test. From these results, the probability value or Asymp.sig (2-tailed) is 0.042.
The research results from the implementation process of making spinach chips can be concluded from the results of statistical test research which was analyzed using the Wilcoxon signed ranks test, the SPSS statistics version 23 program obtained 2.032 and Asymp.sig (2-tailed) results or the results of the probability were 0.042 small compared to tafar. the significance that has been determined is 0.05 (, 042 <0.05). So it can be concluded that the explicit instruction model is proven to be effective in the skill of making spinach chips in class X hearing impaired children at Yapem Tarusan SLB can be accepted. It is recommended that teachers in teaching vocational skills can provide an explicit instruction model to children with hearing impairment, because it has a structured and gradual pattern so that it is easy to understand.
