Abstract

This study aims to develop valid, practical and effective textbooks using the Indonesian Realistic Mathematics Education approach to mobile learning outcomes and flat plane for fourth grade elementary school students. This study used a reaserch and development (R&D) model consisting of such stages as define; design; develop; and disseminate. The subjects of this study were 2 experts, 1 grade IV teacher and 30 grade IV-A students of SDN 05 Perawang. The instruments used included expert validation sheets, teacher and student response questionnaires, and teacher and student distribution questionnaires.The results showed: (1) textbooks using the Indonesian Realistic Mathematics Education approach to learning outcomes and the area of a flat shape in class IV elementary school were declared valid by material experts and media experts with category an overall average rating of the validators 72, (2) The response of teachers and students to textbooks using the Indonesian Realistic Mathematics Education approach to learning outcomes and the area of a flat shape in grade IV elementary school obtained a very practical assessment category with an average value of 96.42% and 94.04%.
