Efektivitas Teknik Shaping dalam Mengurangi Perilaku Merokok Pada Anak Tunagrahita Ringan Di SLB N Madina

Abstract

This research was motivated by the discovery of problems in SLB N Madina. The problem was found in a child who had problems with his behavior, namely smoking in the social environment. This study aims to prove the effect of Shaping Technique on the condition of children's smoking behaviour. This type of research is an experiment in the form of a single subject research using the A-B-A design. This research was conducted in three conditions, namely baseline I, intervention, and baseline II conditions. Data collection in baseline conditions (A1) was carried out five observations. Then proceed by providing behavior modification of the Shaping Technique in intervention (B) which was carried out for eight observations. Then in baseline II (A2) conditions, five observations were made. Data collection techniques in this study were carried out through observation.Data analysis techniques using visual graph techniques. So based on the results of data analysis in conditions and between conditions, it shows that the Shaping Technique can reduce the condition of smoking behavior in mild mentally retarded children in Madina Special School.
