Abstract

The learning outcomes of grade V students at SD Negeri 2 Karang Anyar are still low. Learning activities still use conventional learning strategies. So it is necessary to apply learning strategies that can change learning conditions to be more active by involving students in learning activities. One of them is the Index Card Match active learning strategy. The purpose of this study was to determine how to improve student learning outcomes by using an active learning strategy Index Card Match in Class V SD Negeri 2 Karang Anyar. This type of research uses Classroom Action Research (PTK). The subjects of this study were 27 students of class V SD Negeri 2 Karang Anyar. The research was carried out in 3 cycles using the following instruments: RPP, observation sheets, worksheets and question sheets. Data analysis of the results of this study was using descriptive statistics. The results of this study indicate that there is an increase based on the completeness achieved by students after receiving learning using the Index Card Match active learning strategy. So it is concluded that student learning outcomes can be improved using an active learning strategy type Index Card Match.
