Abstract

This research is motivated by the low learning outcomes of students in integrated thematic learning. This is due to students who are less active in learning, teachers have not used creative learning models, and in the preparation of lesson plans. The purpose of this study was to improve student learning outcomes in integrated thematic learning by applying the Guided Note Taking learning model in grade IV SDN 17 Manggis Ganting, Bukittinggi City. This research is a classroom action research (CAR) that uses qualitative and quantitative approaches. This research was conducted in the second semester of the 2021/2022 academic year. The subjects of this study were 22 students of class IV, consisting of 13 males and 9 females. This research was carried out in two cycles, the first cycle consisted of 2 meetings, and the second cycle consisted of 1 meeting. Each cycle includes four stages, planning, implementing, observing and reflecting. The results showed an increase in a) RPP in the first cycle, the average value was 84.72%, and the second cycle was 94.4%. (SB) b) The activity of the teacher in the first cycle is 83.33%, and the second cycle is 95.83%. (SB) c) The activity of the students in the first cycle obtained a score of 85.41%, and in the second cycle it was 95.83%. (SB) d) The learning outcomes of students in the first cycle obtained an average of 73.58 (D) and the second cycle with an average value of 87.34 (B). Based on these results, it can be concluded that applying the Guided Note Taking learning model can improve student learning outcomes in integrated learning in elementary schools.
