Korelasi Motivasi Orang Tua Terhadap Hasil Belajar Siswa Kelas 5 SD Negeri Se-Gugus I Kecamatan Pariaman Tengah Kota Pariaman

Abstract

This research is motivated by the low education of students, with the hypothesis that the results occur as a result of the low motivation of parents in children's education. The purpose of this study was to determine the correlation of parents to the learning outcomes of elementary school students in Class V State in Cluster 1, Central Pariaman District, Pariaman City. This research is a quantitative research with a sample size of 111 students in class V of SD Negeri Se-Cluster 1, Pariaman Tengah District, Pariaman City. Data obtained by questionnaire and test techniques. The data were analyzed with the help of the SPSS 20 application. The results of the statistical test of descriptive variable X (parental motivation) showed that 19% of respondents were in the high category, 70% in the moderate category and 11% in the low category. The results of the statistical test of the descriptive variable Y (Student Learning Outcomes) showed that 50.5% of students had low learning outcomes, 25.2% were in the moderate category and 24.3% in the high category. While the results of data analysis based on the Normality Test obtained the value of Asymp.Sig data. (2-tailed) of 0.564 is greater than 0.05, which means that the sample data is normally distributed. Linearity test results obtained Sig value data. Deviation from Linearity of 0.281 is more than 0.05 which means that the sample data has a linear relationship between the variables X and Y. And the Hypothesis Testing obtained a correlation coefficient value of 0.0533 with a strong category. The significant value of P (Sig.) 0.000 < 0.05 which means that there is a significant correlation between the two variables tested and the direction of the correlation is positive and unidirectional, then it is proposed (Ha): There is a positive and significant relationship between the motivation of parents to elementary students Class V countries in Gugus I, Central Pariaman District, Pariaman City can be accepted.
