Abstract

  • ABSTRACT
    this research is based on observations where the level of activity of students is still low, the lack of interaction that occurs between students and teachers, as well as students and other students. This has an impact on the low learning outcomes of students in integrated thematic learning. The purpose of this study is to describe the application of Increasing Student Learning Outcomes in Integrated Thematic Learning Using the "Cooperative Integrated Reading and Composition" (CIRC) Learning Model in Class V SDN 02 Paninggahan, Solok Regency. This research is a classroom action research (CAR) that uses qualitative and quantitative approaches. The research procedure is preceded by planning, implementing, observing, and reflecting. Data collection techniques in the form of observation and tests. The subjects of this study were teachers and students of class V, totaling 28 students. The research was carried out in 2 cycles, each cycle having stages, cycle one had 2 meetings and cycle two had 1 meeting. The research data is in the form of RPP observations, the results of integrated thematic learning observations and student learning outcomes using the Cooperative Integrated Reading and Composition (CIRC) model. cycle II obtained a score of 94.44% (Very Good). Implementation of learning on the teacher aspect of the first cycle obtained an average of 82.81% (Good), and in the second cycle it increased to 93.75% (Very Good). Aspects of students in cycle I obtained an average of 82.81% (Good), and in cycle II it increased to 93.75% (Very Good). Student learning outcomes in cycle I obtained an average of 77.1% (Enough) and in cycle II it increased to 86.5% (Good). Thus the Cooperative Integrated Reading and Composition (CIRC) model can improve learning outcomes in integrated thematic learning in elementary schools
