Identifikasi Kualitas Jenis Air di Kota langsa

Abstract

This research was conducted by taking samples of five types of water in Langsa City. This research was conducted to see the quality of these five types of water. Identification of water quality can be seen from the physical and chemical properties of water. Physical properties seen are odor, taste, salinity, temperature, and volume. Chemical properties seen are pH and DO (Dissolved Oxygen). This research was conducted using a digital pH meter and DO meter. The measured temperature in these five types of water is the same, which is 30,5°C. Salt content is only found in sample C which is 25 %. The type of water that changes color and odor in sample B and sample E. The pH of water type is acidic with a pH value of less than seven. The highest oxygen content is in sample B and sample E 2,7 % and the lowest in sample A and sample C is 0,2 %, sample D is 0,5 %. Sample B and sample E has been polluted due to human activities and soil conditions are not good enough due to the presence of factories and household waste so that the water quality is reduced.
