Meukuta Alam: journal Ilmiah Mahasiswa is a research journal dedicated to students of the Faculty of Law, Universitas Samudra. This journal serves as an academic platform for students to publish their legal research works as part of their scholarly development and as one of the requirements for the Undergraduate Thesis Examination.

The journal is published by the Law Science Study Program, Faculty of Law, Universitas Samudra, and was officially established based on the Decree of the Dean of the Faculty of Law No. 372a/UN54.1/2019, dated August 16, 2019. Since its establishment, Meukuta Alam: Student Scientific Journal has been published twice a year, in June and December.

As part of our continuous effort to improve publication quality, management system, and accessibility for readers and authors, the editorial board has migrated the journal management system to a new Open Journal System (OJS) platform. Starting from the 2024 edition, Meukuta Alam: Student Scientific Journal can be accessed through its new website:

Meanwhile, the previous website https://jim.unsam.ac.id/index.php/Meukutaalam
is no longer accessible. This transition is expected to enhance the visibility, accessibility, and academic contribution of student research publications from the Faculty of Law, Universitas Samudra, both nationally and internationally.
