Abstract

This research aims to determine the effect of the Problem Based Learning model on student learning outcomes in integrated thematic learning in class IV SDN Gugus 1, Guguak District. This type of research is an experiment in the form of a Quasi Experimental Type Nonequivalent Control Group Design. The sampling technique used simple random sampling technique with the results of several considerations. The instrument used was a test, namely a multiple choice test. The data analysis technique in this study used a prerequisite test in the form of normality and homogeneity tests and hypothesis testing using the t-test. The results showed that there was a significant effect in the use of the Problem Based Learning model on student learning outcomes in integrated thematic learning in class IV SDN Gugus 1, Guguak District. 3,36> t table = 1.68. The integrated thematic learning outcomes obtained by the experimental group were higher than the control group, as indicated by the mean of the control group = 73 and the mean obtained by the experimental group = 82.
