Abstract

This study aims to determine the effect of the use of the Predict Observe Explain (POE) model in Integrated Thematic Learning on the Learning Outcomes of Class Fifth Grade Students of Gugus I Tilatang Kamang. The type of this research is a Quasi-Experimental Type Pre-test and Post-test Control Group Design experiment using simple random sampling technique. The fifth grade of SDN 22 Koto Tangah as the experimental group and the fifth grade of SDN 20 Koto Tangah as the control group. The instrument used was a test, namely a multiple choice test. The data analysis technique in this study used prerequisite tests in the form of normality and homogeneity tests and hypothesis testing using the t-test (t-test). The results of this study indicate that there is a significant effect as evidenced by the results of the t-test (t-test) with a significance level of 5% obtained t-count = 2.193> t-table = 2.032. The learning outcomes obtained by the experimental group were higher than the control group, as indicated by the mean of the control group = 69.41 and the mean obtained by the experimental group = 79.44.
