Abstract

This study aims to examine various approaches that can improve the development of social skills in elementary school children (SD) based on developmental psychology studies. The method used in this study is a literature study, which analyzes five scientific articles published in the last five years. The articles reviewed cover topics such as the influence of role-playing, storytelling, the use of finger puppet media, and the application of the Project Based Learning learning model in the context of developing children's social skills. The results of the study indicate that these approaches are effective in helping children develop social skills such as empathy, communication, cooperation, and conflict resolution. In addition, the role of teachers and parents has also been shown to be important in supporting the development of children's social skills, both at school and at home. This study contributes to formulating recommendations for educational practices that can support the improvement of children's social skills in accordance with theories of developmental psychology.
