Abstract

The background is that teachers use only traditional methods when teaching and teachers tend to be less creative and innovative when using learning models, so students are less motivated to engage in learning. increase. As a result, students tend to be passive and inactive, easily bored when participating in learning, and have poor learning outcomes. Researchers also used experimental studies. That is, used the advanced organizer model and the control class used the traditional model. Experimental class test results increased by 13. That is, the entrance test result increased from 67 to 80. On the other hand, the control class also increased from 60.65 to 65.21 in the entrance exam, but the increase was not greater than that of the experimental class. The significant value is < 0.004 based on the results of the homogeneity test of the experimental and control classes. 0.05 received. Therefore, it can be concluded that the use of the Advance Organizer model influences the learning outcomes of Grade 5 students in SD Negeri Langsa Lama. Suggestion from this research is that we need to develop or implement advanced learning models for organizers in the classroom learning process to make it easier for students to understand the material presented by teachers
