Peningkatan Keterampilan Peserta Didik Dalam Pembuatan Komik Sederhana Menggunakan Project Based Learning di Kelas IV SD Negeri 11 Koto Tuo Kabupaten Sijunjung

Abstrak

This research was motivated by the results of observations in the field, namely the low value of students' skills in making simple comics in fine arts learning. This happens because fine arts learning is still focused on material and teachers have not implemented learning where students are also taught the steps in making a product/project  and the teaching modules used are not coherent and complete. This research aims to describe improving students' skills in making simple comics using the Project Based Learning model in class IV at SDN 11 Koto Tuo, Sijunjung Regency. This type of research is Classroom Action Research using qualitative and quantitative approaches carried out in 4 stages, namely planning, implementation, observation and reflection. Data collection techniques are in the form of observation and non-test. This research data is in the form of qualitative and quantitative data, qualitative data in the form of the results of assessing students' skills and quantitative data in the form of observations and the results of students' work. The subjects in this research were teachers as observers, researchers as practitioners and 28 class IV students at SDN 11 Koto Tuo. The research results showed that: First, the assessment of the teaching module in cycle I obtained an average of 82.81% (C), increasing in cycle II to 93.75% (SB). Second, the results of the teacher aspect of learning in cycle I obtained an average of 79.16% (C), increasing in cycle II to 95.83% (SB). Third, the results of the implementation of learning aspects for students in cycle I obtained an average of 81.24% (C), increasing in cycle II to 95.83% (SB). Fourth, the results of students' skills in making simple comics in cycle I obtained an average of 73.53 (K), increasing in cycle II to 82.84 (B). Thus, it can be concluded that the Project Based Learning model can improve students' skills in learning fine arts regarding making simple comics in class IV at SDN 11 Koto Tuo, Sijunjung Regency.
