Pemanfaatan Aplikasi Let’s Read Untuk Meningkatkan Hasil Belajar Pada Pembelajaran Bahasa Indonesia Kelas IV SD

Abstrak

Reading ability is one of the language skills that must be mastered by students. However, in practice, based on the results of observations made by the author, information was obtained that grade IV students at SD Negeri 21 Durian Kapeh still had difficulty in understanding reading. This problem makes it difficult for students to absorb the information conveyed, so that their understanding of the subject matter becomes less than optimal. This has an impact on the low learning outcomes of students, especially in Indonesian language subjects as seen from the Midterm Assessment, where only 10 out of 30 students reached the KKTP. Based on this problem, the author will conduct Classroom Action Research (PTK) to examine the utilization of the “Let's Read” application as a learning media in an effort to improve student learning outcomes in grade IV Indonesian language subjects. The research was conducted in two cycles and each cycle consisted of four stages including planning, implementation, observation, and reflection. Data collection techniques were observation, tests, and documentation. Data analysis is qualitative and quantitative. Based on the results of the pre-cycle, as many as 20 students (66.67%) were still below the established KKTP of 75 with an average of only 65.8. In cycle I after applying the Let's Read application, there was an increase in learning outcomes, namely 18 students (60%) managed to reach KKTP, while 12 students (40%) had not and the average increased to 73.5. After improvement, cycle II showed an increase, namely 25 students (83.33%) managed to reach KKTP, while 5 students (16.67%) had not and the average score increased to 82.3. Thus, it can be concluded that the utilization of the Let's Read application is effective in improving the learning outcomes of Indonesian language of fourth grade students.
