Pengaruh Model Pembelajaran Kooperatif Tipe Teams Games Tournament (TGT) Terhadap Hasil Belajar Koognitif IPAS Kelas IV UPT SDN 05 Muara Kandis Kabupaten Pesisir Selatan

Abstrak

This research was motivated by several obstacles in the IPAS (Science and Social Studies) learning process, including the fact that IPAS learning has not yet used the TGT (Teams Games Tournament) model, the learning process is still conventional, and students' learning outcomes in the IPAS subject are still low. This study aims to determine the effect of applying the TGT model on students' cognitive learning outcomes in IPAS learning.

This research is a quantitative study with a quasi-experimental design using a pretest-posttest control group design. The study compares a group that received the treatment (experimental class) and a group that did not receive the treatment (control class). The population of this study was all fourth-grade students at SDN 05 Muara Kandis. The sample consisted of 39 students, with 19 students in the experimental class that applied the TGT (Teams Games Tournament) learning model, and 20 students in the control class that used the PJBL (Project-Based Learning) model. The instrument used in this research was a test consisting of 25 objective questions. The data were analyzed using the Mann-Whitney test.

The prerequisite analysis results showed that the data in the control class were not normally distributed and had homogeneous variance, so the data obtained in this study were analyzed using the non-parametric Mann-Whitney test. The results of this study showed that there was a significant effect on the students' cognitive learning outcomes in IPAS learning, as indicated by the Mann-Whitney test result showing an Asymp. Sig (2-tailed) value < α = 0.05 (<0.01 < 0.05), which means H₀ is rejected and Hₐ is accepted, indicating that there is a significant effect on the cognitive learning outcomes of fourth-grade students at UPT SDN 05 Muara Kandis after applying the TGT learning model.
