Pengaruh Loose Parts Terhadap Kreativitas Anak Usia Dini Di Taman Kanak-Kanak Tunas Harapan Batu Balabuah I Kabupaten Lima Puluh Kota

Abstrak

This research is motivated by the importance of early childhood as a golden age in children's growth and development, during which appropriate stimulation can significantly influence creativity development. One of the media that can be used to foster children's creativity is loose parts; however, at Tunas Harapan Kindergarten Batu Balabuah I, their utilization is still minimal, resulting in suboptimal creativity development. This study aims to determine the effect of using loose parts on early childhood creativity through a quantitative approach with a quasi-experimental design using a pre-test and post-test structure. The subjects consisted of two classes: the experimental class (17 children) using loose parts and the control class (18 children) without treatment. Data were collected through observations before and after treatment and analyzed using normality tests, homogeneity tests, and t-tests with the help of SPSS 20.0. The results showed that the use of loose parts significantly increased early childhood creativity, with the post-test average scores of 25.47 for the experimental class and 22.59 for the control class, and a significance value of 0.000. Children who engaged with loose parts demonstrated improvements in creative thinking, imagination, originality, and self-confidence. Loose parts offer children the freedom to explore and create using simple materials from their surroundings, making them an effective medium for stimulating creativity during their golden developmental stage..
