COMPASS Information System (Kominfo Letter Archive Management) Using Bootstrap Framework

Abstract

Along with the times, communication technology is developing so rapidly with the emergence of various sophisticated telecommunication tools or liaisons such as; telephone, mobile phone, television, radio, telegram, facsimile and so on, but there are still 2 written communications that cannot be forgotten, even though they are still firmly used as if they cannot be replaced by various sophisticated communication equipment, the written communication is a letter.

Incoming mail management procedures which include; grouping of letters, opening letters, checking letters, recording letters and distributing letters, while outgoing letters include; drafting, concept approval, understanding of letters, giving numbers, drafting letters, sending letters.

The management of letters at the Langsa City Communication and Information Office is in the General Section. Mail management in this study is a process or activity within an organization in achieving goals by using existing resources, starting from receiving, recording, storing, borrowing, depreciation to letter destruction activities. Mail management itself consists of managing incoming mail and managing outgoing mail.

The KOMPAS Information System (Kominfo Management of Letters Archives) using the Bootstrap Framework was built using the PHP and HTML programming languages with a website base. This information system contains the processing of archival data for incoming and outgoing mail, a web-based Office of Communication and Information Technology of Langsa City which is more organized.
