The background of this research is that one of the problems found in deaf students regarding the implementation of learning graphic design skills in the new normal period, there is a change from face-to-face learning to online learning due to the Covid-19 pandemic. Online learning is a challenge for educators, especially for children with special needs such as deaf children. This study aims to describe the implementation of graphic design skills for class X in the new normal period at SLB Perwari Padang. This study used descriptive qualitative method. The results showed that graphic design skills in the new normal were done online through the WhatsApp application. The implementation of this skill learning consists of 1) planning includes the preparation of programs, compilation of lesson plans, teacher readiness and student readiness; 2) Implementation includes preliminary activities, core activities and closing activities; Assessment / evaluation. The teacher's obstacle in learning skills in this new normal period is that the teacher has difficulty compiling online lesson plans which affects the lack of teacher preparation and the lack of parental guidance for students so that students are often not on time to complete assignments. The teacher's solution to these obstacles is that the teacher continues to carry out learning according to the students' abilities and the teacher speaks directly to the parents of students so that they pay more attention and guide students in completing assignments.
