Peran Guru Dalam Membentuk Nilai Karakter Bangsa Pada Tema 4 Di Kelas III SD Negeri 62 Banda Aceh Tahun 2022
Abstract
The teacher plays an important role in the formation of the nation's character of students in accordance with the values of the Pancasila precepts in order to achieve the goals of national education. The formation of these character values is carried out by the teacher as a manifestation of the teacher's responsibility to educate the nation's children. national character on Theme 4 in Class III. This research was conducted at SD Negeri 62 Banda Aceh. This study used a qualitative approach with a descriptive research type. The research subject was 1 class III teacher at SD Negeri 62 Banda Aceh. To obtain data, researchers used data collection techniques through observation and interviews. Based on the research results shown from the results of observations of researchers and interviews with teachers, it shows that 1) The role of the teacher in shaping student character is maximized, namely as educator, teacher, mentor, director, trainer and assessor. 2) The teacher's role in shaping student character influences the character displayed by class III students at SDN 62 Banda Aceh, which includes national character: honest, tolerant, disciplined, creative, and independent. 3) The teacher's role in forming the character value of curiosity has not yet been seen in class III students at SDN 62 Banda Aceh. The conclusion of this study is that the teacher has played a good role in shaping the value of the nation's character, only there must be commitment and consistency through character habituation activities in the learning process. Teachers also always have to give good examples. Therefore it is necessary for teachers and other educators to work together in maximizing Character Education for students, so that the expected national character values will be realized which will have an impact on Indonesia's progress in all fields because they have succeeded in forming the Pancasila character in students.
