Peningkatan Hasil Belajar Peserta Didik Menggunakan Model Discovery Learning Pada Pembelajaran Tematik Terpadu Di Kelas IV SDN 04 Garegeh Kota Bukittinggi

Abstract

This research is motivated by the low learning outcomes of students because the teacher is less than optimal in using the right learning model. This study aims to describe the improvement of student learning outcomes in integrated thematic learning using the Discovery Learning model in grade IV SD Negeri 04 Garegeh Bukittinggi City. The approach used is a qualitative and quantitative approach with the type of research being Classroom Action Research (CAR). This research was carried out in 2 cycles which included four stages of research procedures, namely planning, implementation, observation, and reflection. The data in this study consisted of two, namely: qualitative data and quantitative data, while the data source in this study was an integrated thematic learning process using the application of the Discovery Learning model.The results showed an increase, the Learning Implementation Plan in the first cycle obtained an average of 79% (Enough), and in the second cycle increased to 94% (Very Good). The implementation of learning in the teacher aspect of the first cycle obtained an average of 83% (Good), and in the second cycle it increased to 94.4% (Very Good). Aspects of students in the first cycle obtained an average of 83% (Good), and in the second cycle increased to 91.6% (Very Good). Student learning outcomes in the first cycle obtained an average of 78 (Enough) and in the second cycle increased to 88 (Good). Thus the Discovery Learning model can improve learning outcomes in integrated thematic learning in elementary schools.
