ANALISA PENGARUH FAKTOR EKSPOSI PESAWAT SINAR-X TERHADAP DENSITAS OPTIK FILM RADIOGRAFI
Abstract
A quality radiographic film will provide as much information as possible to the medical staff, especially doctors to diagnose a disease. Good quality film images, one of which is characterized by the optical density parameter. One of the factors that determine these parameters is the exposure factor in the form of the current and tube voltage values as well as the irradiation time. The human body has constituent tissues that have different thicknesses, mass densities and atomic numbers. so that each of these networks has the ability to absorb radiation differently, resulting in a different optical density. Therefore, the purpose of this study was to analyze the influence of exposure factors on the optical density of radiographic film images produced using the Java Image-J Basics version 1.38 software platform. The samples used to represent the tissues in the body are bone, fat, jelly, besides that samples are also used, such as iron and aluminum (coins). The container used to place the sample is made of acrylic. The exposure factors used are tube voltage variations of 60kV, 70kV, 75kV and 85kV, as well as tube current variations of 20mA, 25mA and 32mA. The optical density value is obtained by determining the segmentation of the film image from acrylic that has been filled with five samples using the image-J software. The results obtained by the exposure factor given greatly affect the value of optical density in each sample, where the most optimal optical density is at a current of 20mA at a voltage of 60 kV, for a current of 25 mA the most optimal optical density is at a voltage of 70 kV and at a current of 32 mA the density optimal optics are clearly visible at a voltage of 70 kV.
