Manuscript Withdrawal Policy

Manuscript Withdrawal Policy

JURUTERA: Jurnal Umum Teknik Terapan

JURUTERA upholds strict scientific integrity and respects the valuable time and effort of editors and peer reviewers. Therefore, we do not allow manuscript withdrawals after submission, except under exceptional circumstances approved by the editorial board.

Withdrawal During Peer Review

Authors are not permitted to withdraw a manuscript once it has entered the peer-review process, because:

  • The submission includes a declaration that the manuscript is not under review elsewhere.

  • The editorial and review process consumes significant time and resources.

  • Such actions are disrespectful to editors and reviewers.

If the author insists on withdrawing the manuscript during the review process:

  • A penalty fee of IDR 1,000,000 will be charged to cover the processing costs.

  • The withdrawal will only be processed after the payment is received by the publisher.

Withdrawal After Acceptance

Withdrawal of an accepted manuscript is strongly discouraged. If unavoidable:

  • The author must provide a strong justification.

  • A penalty of IDR 2,000,000 will be imposed prior to approval of withdrawal.

Sanctions for Violation

If the author refuses to pay the penalty, then:

  • The author and their affiliated institution will be blacklisted from publishing in JURUTERA.

  • Their future submissions will be automatically rejected.
