Authorship of a manuscript submitted to Jurnal Ilmiah Samudra Akuatika must be based on substantial intellectual and scholarly contributions to the research. Individuals listed as authors must have made meaningful contributions to the conception or design of the study, data collection, data analysis or interpretation, or the development of the manuscript.
All authors must participate in drafting the manuscript or critically revising it for important intellectual content, approve the final version to be published, and agree to be accountable for the accuracy and integrity of the work. Each author must be able to identify their contributions and take responsibility for the relevant aspects of the manuscript.
The corresponding author is responsible for communicating with the editorial team throughout the submission and publication process, ensuring that all authors have reviewed and approved the submitted manuscript, and confirming that the author names and order have been agreed upon by all authors.
Individuals who contribute to the research but do not meet the authorship criteria, such as those providing administrative support, technical assistance, funding acquisition alone, or general supervision, should be acknowledged appropriately in the Acknowledgments section rather than listed as authors.
All authorship-related matters, including the inclusion, exclusion, and order of authors, must be agreed upon by all authors before manuscript submission. Any changes to authorship after submission must be communicated to the editorial team and supported by written agreement from all affected authors.
Guest authorship, gift authorship, and ghost authorship are not permitted. Jurnal Ilmiah Samudra Akuatika reserves the right to request clarification regarding authorship and individual contributions whenever necessary to ensure transparency, accountability, and compliance with publication ethics.
