Post-publication Discussion

Jurnal Ilmiah Samudra Akuatika encourages scholarly discussion and constructive exchange of ideas concerning articles published in the journal. Post-publication discussion provides an opportunity for researchers, readers, and other members of the scientific community to critically evaluate published findings, clarify scientific arguments, and contribute to the advancement of knowledge in aquaculture and aquatic sciences.

Readers who identify concerns, methodological limitations, inconsistencies, or alternative interpretations in a published article are encouraged to communicate their observations to the editorial team (email: jisa@unsam.ac.id). Submissions must be evidence-based, scientifically relevant, respectful, and presented in a professional manner.

The editorial team may invite the original authors to respond to substantive comments or questions concerning their published work. Authors are encouraged to provide clear, objective, and evidence-based responses. Where appropriate, the comments and the authors' responses may be published to facilitate transparent scientific discussion.

All post-publication comments and responses are subject to editorial assessment. The editorial team will consider their scientific merit, relevance, originality, and compliance with the journal's publication ethics standards. Comments must not contain defamatory statements, personal attacks, discriminatory language, or unsupported allegations of misconduct.

Post-publication discussion does not automatically result in a correction or retraction. However, if a discussion raises credible concerns about the accuracy, reliability, or ethical integrity of a published article, the editorial team will investigate the matter in accordance with the journal's Correction and Retraction policy and applicable publication ethics guidelines.

Jurnal Ilmiah Samudra Akuatika is committed to maintaining an open, fair, and constructive environment for scientific dialogue while protecting the integrity of the scholarly record. All parties involved in post-publication discussions are expected to act in good faith and uphold the principles of academic integrity, transparency, and mutual respect.
