Publications Ethics

Jurnal Ilmiah Samudra Akuatika (JISA) is a journal published by the Faculty of Agriculture, Samudra University. This statement explains the ethical behavior of all parties involved in publishing articles in this journal, namely the author, editor-in-chief, editor/editors, bestari partners, and publisher.

Publisher's Duties
The Faculty of Agriculture at Samudra University, as the publisher of the Samudra Aquatics Scientific Journal, is responsible for and committed to ensuring that advertising, reprints, or other commercial income have no impact or influence on the editor's decisions. In addition, the Aquaculture Study Program, Faculty of Agriculture, Samudra University, and the editor will assist in communication with other journals and/or other publishers if necessary.

Editorial Duties

  • Publication Decisions
    The Editor/Editors of the Samudra Aquatics Scientific Journal are responsible for deciding which articles should be published based on input from the results of reviews carried out by Bestari partners. Editors can consult with review partners in making this decision.
  • Principles of Justice
    Editors evaluate manuscripts/articles without regard to the author's race, gender, sexual orientation, religious beliefs, ethnic origin, nationality, or political philosophy.
    The editor will ensure that the article fits the journal's scientific focus and scope. Responses from bestari partners will be used as a basis for the editor to determine whether an article can be accepted, accepted with revision (accepted with major or minor revision), or rejected.
    An article is rejected for publication due to various considerations, including because the article does not comply with the scope of law, politics, and social law, because the scientific side of the article is insufficient to be classified as a scientific article, because of basic methodological errors, or because the author refuses to provide advice. improvements provided by Bestari partners without a logical basis. The order of publication is adjusted to the order in which articles are submitted and article revisions to the editorial board.
  • Confidentiality
    The editor does not have to disclose any information about the submitted manuscript to anyone other than the author, including bestari partners.
  • Conflict of interest
    Unpublished material disclosed in the manuscript may not be used in the editor's own research without written consent from the author.

Duties of Bestari Partners

  • Bestari partners assist editors in making editorial decisions and through editorial communications, which are then conveyed to the author. The assistance provided by Bestari Partners concerns the content review of a manuscript/article.
  • Every manuscript received for review must be treated as a confidential document. Manuscripts may not be displayed or discussed with others except as permitted by the editor.
  • The review must be carried out objectively with supporting arguments according to scientific principles.

Writer's Duties

  • The author writes manuscripts/articles based on accurate original research reports.
  • The author writes every reference used in the manuscript according to the rules of scientific writing.
  • The author must ensure that the manuscript is free of plagiarism.
  • The author can confirm that the manuscript submitted to the SamudraJustice Law Journal has never been published in other media and is not being sent to another journal.
  • The authors must agree on the role of each contributor in writing the article and have previously agreed on writing the main author and co-authors.
  • The author ensures that research activities are carried out in accordance with the code of ethics.
  • When authors discover significant errors or inaccuracies in their published manuscript, the author has an obligation to immediately notify the journal editor or publisher and work with the editor to retract or correct it.
