Jurnal Ilmiah Samudra Akuatika is committed to upholding the highest standards of research integrity and publication ethics. Allegations of research misconduct, whether raised before or after publication, will be handled fairly, objectively, confidentially where appropriate, and in accordance with established publication ethics principles.
Research misconduct may include, but is not limited to, fabrication or falsification of data, plagiarism, inappropriate manipulation of images or research results, duplicate publication, improper authorship, undisclosed conflicts of interest, and other practices that undermine the integrity and reliability of scientific research.
Individuals who suspect research misconduct are encouraged to submit a formal report to the editorial team, providing relevant information and supporting evidence where available. Allegations should be made in good faith and must not be based solely on speculation or personal disputes.
Upon receiving an allegation, the editorial team will conduct an initial assessment to determine whether the concern falls within the journal's responsibilities and whether sufficient information is available for further consideration. When necessary, the editor may request explanations or supporting documentation from the authors, consult independent experts, or contact the relevant research institution or other appropriate authority.
All parties involved will be treated fairly and given an appropriate opportunity to respond to the concerns raised. The editorial team will avoid premature conclusions and will base its decisions on the available evidence. The journal will respect confidentiality to the extent possible while ensuring a fair and appropriate investigation.
If research misconduct is confirmed or credible concerns remain unresolved, the journal may take appropriate action, including requesting corrections, rejecting a manuscript, issuing an expression of concern, retracting a published article, or notifying the relevant institution when warranted.
The journal recognizes that it does not replace the investigative authority of research institutions. Where allegations require a formal investigation beyond the journal's remit, the editorial team may refer the matter to the relevant institution or authority.
Jurnal Ilmiah Samudra Akuatika is committed to protecting the integrity of the scholarly record, preventing research misconduct, and ensuring that all allegations are addressed responsibly, transparently, and in accordance with publication ethics standards.
